Updated description as well:Songwriting is an act of finding your voice, but for many the greatest barrier to creating is an internal one.
Join seasoned songwriter Alec Hutson for a songwriting workshop designed to unlock creativity, access your voice, boost self confidence, and break down internal barriers as we navigate the path to writing songs of your own. We will be combining elements of mindfulness, movement, circle singing, theater games, and songwriting exercises. Participants will be harvesting inspiration for songwriting through a dynamic, interactive process as well as creating community through shared experience.
Attendees will leave with a bolstered sense of confidence, inspiration from community, and a clear path forward to writing music (a clearer understanding of song structure and approach, as well as taking home new lyrical and melodic ideas).
While this workshop is intended for beginner to intermediate songwriters, it can also be useful for experienced songwriters looking to reinvigorate their creative routine or overcome a creative block. Some working knowledge of playing an instrument and/ or music production is recommended but not necessary.
